# Troll

It is said that the large and mighty trolls were created by giants and dwarves to protect places of importance to the ghedhun religion. These creatures are more than double the height of an average human and their weight is surely greater than multiple horses.
Most of the time, a troll sleeps rolled into a form that is nearly indistinguishable from a regular rock and its skin is just as hard during its slumber. Mosses, mushrooms and small plants take root on its body over time. It is possible to sit on top of a troll without even noticing.
However, for sporadic short periods of time, the troll awakens and wanders around its home, chewing on stones, moss and bark or looking for shiny trinkets. If anything threatens the troll's home, the creature immediately notices, wakes up and unleashes its fury upon the intruders. It will pick up large stones to throw or break off small trees to use as a club and attack the threats closest to it.
During a fight, the troll cannot be bargained with and outside of it, it cannot be compelled to leave the vicinity of its home. In general, it harbors a dislike for humans, other trolls and generally everyone except for giants and dwarves. However, this creature is rather dim-witted and easily fooled. A troll's vision is not great, but it has a good sense of smell and keen hearing.
When a troll dies, its body breaks apart and collapses into a pile of stones. The rare mineral _Godstone_ can be found within the remains.
